About Us

Owner Russ Whitlock grew up in the Powell/Cody, WY area and has roamed these mountains all of his years! He married a Michigan girl, Diane, and they raised three daughters camping, hunting,  and fishing the Rocky Mountains all of their lives as well.

Adventure is the name and Jeep touring is the game!  We enjoy Wyoming’s great outdoors, and Jeepin’ the backroads is our way of getting there. There is so much to see and photograph around these parts. From scenic vistas high atop Franc’s Peak, (13,153 feet to be exact,) to the historic gold mine/ghost town at Kirwin, WY, to the valley of the Clarksfork Canyon for fishing and swimming in the river, the landscapes never disappoint. We even have a canoe to rent and paddle the lakes high atop the Beartooth Mountains, or known to the locals as “Top of the World!”

Families with kids of all ages will enjoy the adventure of renting a newer model Jeep Wrangler Sport, (they safely seat and buckle five) and heading outdoors for some good old fashioned 4×4 transportation.

In the fall we can provide hunters with transportation as well, to get into their favorite hunting areas.

You’ll never be lost, as we provide all the maps and tips, and even 4×4 ‘drivers training’ if you are unfamiliar with driving a Jeep.

Our family is proud and excited to be able to offer this new service here in Cody, Wyoming. Come out west and see Wyoming for what it really is.

Get off the pavement and have a Rocky Mountain Backroads Adventure!!

Whether you have driven a four wheel drive Jeep before or not, RMBA will answer all of your questions with friendly, knowledgeable staff. Remember, we love our Jeeps too, and above all else have your safety and satisfaction in mind.

We have researched trails, designed maps and rated each excursion with an easy, moderate and difficult trail/route rating. We have also timed the routes so you know approximately just how long it will take to get there and back. We will get you out to the trail, discuss current weather conditions, and ease any concerns about how to navigate. If it rains, our Jeeps are all fully encloseable so you may still enjoy the trails in comfort.
